And So, It Begins
At the end of 2018, I walked away from 12 years at a corporate job with a salary, benefits and 401K matching, with no job lined up and no “plan”. My assets: a little bit of savings, an incredibly encouraging partner willing to “do whatever it takes to support us during this transition” (a.k.a., driving for ride-share to make ends meet), a great therapist with a valuable perspective to share, and a rich tapestry of life and death experiences, which I will attempt to chronicle in this blog.
Humanity has been my greatest teacher, to the degree that now when I am in the presence of someone who is in intense pain (physical, emotional, or spiritual) it’s as if my heart opens and radiates with a light and energy so giant, as far as my puny human brain can understand, it can only be described as Agape Love (see Psychology Today: 7 different types of love). I believe this is one of the tenets of my life journey, and as I am learning how to plug into the source of that wisdom, it keeps coming to me that writing about these experiences is a strong connection point for so many beings who need a perspective to transcend the minutiae…
Just for today, I want to celebrate in life and all its messiness! It is like the grain of sand that gets inside the oyster shell and agitates it into producing a pearl. As I prepare to SAVE & PUBLISH for the very first time, I can’t help but feel like this is the culmination of a life-long dream being realized. For the many many moving parts I have been visualizing for s-o-o-o-o long, and all the little steps that add up to one huge energy footprint, THIS IS HAPPENING NOW. All my learning and feeling, processing and healing, have manifested The Care Port, LLC—with Love, Light, and Compassion. I don’t know what’s going to happen next, but I feel confident and inspired to keep trusting the flow of the universe and to try and enjoy the ride.
